ASSIST WITH BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Keep score, run the clock, and general help.  CVT Basketball tournament will be held at Barre City Elementary and Middle School.  At least 4 students needed. Tournament is February 17-21st from 5pm-8:30pm. Interested?  Please contact Sabrina Metcalf at smetcbce@buusd.org

ASSIST WITH VT DESTINATION IMAGINATION TOURNAMENT

Help out at the VT Destination Imagination State Tournament at Barre City Elementary and Middle School on Saturday, March 29 and set up on Friday, March 28. We will provide free pizza on Friday and free lunch Saturday.

Here is what is needed - Friday afternoon after 3:05pm- Unload boxes, Unpack boxes, set up art and building activities, hang up signs and banners, decorate (crepe paper, balloons, etc.), Move furniture

Saturday Tournament-morning and/or afternoon-Supervise art and building activities in the cafeteria, mainly involves keeping supplies tidy, Monitor room entrances so people don't interrupt performances Late afternoon - Pack everything up, take down signs and decorations, tidy up, load boxes etc.into vehicles (like Friday, in reverse) Interested? Contact Jane Youngbaer at vtdicreativity@gmail.com or 802 272-2766

WORK AT THE BOR CONCESSION STAND 

Barre Rotary is running the Concession Stand at the BOR for SHS Hockey Games, and some other events (public skating, Black Bears hockey, etc.) and could use volunteers. Shifts are about 3 hours, selling candy, Gatorade, and soda, making hot chocolate and coffee, serving hot dogs and potentially other food items, and handling money and making change.  Interested? Contact Ed Rousse at 8erousse@gmail.com OR TEXT 802-272-3088 

DROP IN TASKS AT ALDRICH LIBRARY

Aldrich Public Library is looking for teen volunteers! Monday through Friday, starting at 3 pm, feel free to drop in and help us with one of these tasks:

Shelving, Cleaning, Watering plants, Light yard work, Organizing craft supplies, Inventorying board games, Special projects in the Teen Lounge space

CENTRAL VERMONT COUNCIL ON AGING (CVCOA)-OPPORTUNITIES

CVCOA has lots of different volunteer opportunities that can be done after school individually or with a friend. Love animals? Help us pack pet food. Love art? Help us assemble and organize art kits. Tech Savvy? Help us prep materials for tech classes. Love the outdoors? Help with our garden program. Love to cook? Help in the kitchen. Interested in getting exposure to office work? We have that, too.

VOLUNTEER AT ReSOURCE

Students are needed to greet customers, clean/straighten up, work merchandising in the ReSOURCE store.  Open until 6pm. After school help wanted contact Susan Uthmann at  suthmann@resourcevt.org

TRAIL BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE

Cross VT Trail can work with students on various projects. We're pretty flexible. If a student is interested in hiking/biking trails, then they can create a specific project that might work for them.  Contact Greg Western at greg@crossvermont.org

Provide shoveling, raking, yard work, meal and/or grocery delivery to neighbors in need.   This counts towards community service!
