Student Council

Bella Cecchinelli 

Overview of position: Overall Student Council President mostly deals with organizing the club and correspondences with outsider groups and clubs. As a whole group we work to organize student needs whether that be student morale or fundraisers.

This year big projects I have organized and helped the process with are activities such as Homecoming week, Pep Rallies, and The Voting Expo. As the President I lead the weekly meetings, I am a point person for all officers to ask questions and concerns too.

Brianna Pace

Overview of position: Overall Student Council Vice President supports the President with their duties. The Vice president assists the president with planning processes and takes over the president’s duties if they are absent. 

This year I have helped the president ensure that events run smoothly and help make sure everything necessary is by their deadline. I assist and co-lead all events done by Student Council.

Eden White 

Overview of position: Overall student council secretary takes the responsibility of taking notes for all meetings (Officer and overall meetings) to ensure all information is relayed to people who miss the meetings and to keep track of what we discuss. Another responsibility is emails and reaching out to people, connections in communication are a key role for this position. 

This year I have taken notes during all the meetings, emailed all contacts needed to organize events and keep contact with people. I also create write ups for events to inform the general student body while also informing teachers of our planned events.

Eden White

Overview of position: The overall Student Council Treasurer deals with the finances of the student council as a whole. As money moves around through fundraisers and merchandise selling, this position keeps track of the money balance in the account while also making financial decisions on where this money should be used and spent.

This year I have kept track of our student council funds, while reimbursing and helping organize money inflow and outflow. This includes what we choose to spend money on and managing the funds as they are used and gained through events and fundraisers.

Brodey Priddy 

Overview of position: During the 22-23 school year, the SHS Student Council voted to reintroduce a student representative for the BUUSD board, in hopes of establishing communication, and a sense of trust, between the student body and board members. The Board Rep attends all BUUSD board meetings, acting as a liaison between the SHS student body and the board members. 

This school year, I have acted as the connection between these two parties; presenting the interests, needs, and activities of the students to the board and community. While attending the bi-weekly board meetings, I assist the overall student council officers, and all members of the SC, in any projects or discussion to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the council.
