Membership in JROTC is about building the skills – leadership, confidence, discipline, and dedication – that will serve students well in life after high school. It is an ideal pathway to college, business, the trades, or the military.
Membership in JROTC does not require students to serve in the military after high school. Currently, about 11% of our graduates go on to serve in the military, and 5% go on to receive officer training.
JROTC students participate in activities designed to build strength – physically, mentally, and emotionally – such as building ropes courses, fitness training, marksmanship (using air rifles) and military drills. We honor the Veterans who’ve served and protected our country by participating in parades and community service events.
JROTC students build lifelong friendships by supporting, encouraging, and inspiring each other. As a member of JROTC, students are a part of a special group of students who, from the first day of class, will be there to help others face, and overcome, the challenges life throws at you.
